The Big Gigantic

A portrait I've been working on for a while now. It's of no one in particular, but I've used elements from different portraits I found on the internet. Still needs a lot of work, but I think it's gonna turn out well.

Medium: Graphite.

This is my first canvas. I have no clue what to do next on it and I'm almost thinking that Im just gonna add a quote and call it finished. I kinda like the way it looks, but i feel as if... I don't know. I'm skeptical about this canvas. The T stands for tree by the way.. incase you couldn't figure it out.

Medium: Acrylic paint as well as paint markers.

Random Blackbook page...
Was just messin around with letter and this is what words came out.
Drew these while visiting a friend in Toronto, and didn't spend more than half an hour at a time on anything on this page. I kinda like that, and the spontaneity of doing that. It kept it fresh I found, and I think this page turned out well. Also the "GREYS" piece was done partly in the Hot Box cafe. I'm sure that helped a little ;)

Medium: Graphite, ink, markers.

Life

So I've been thinking a lot today. I was thinking about some reasons why I enjoy urban exploration.

Why is society based on perfection? Why does everything need to be pristine and clean and "fresh?" the world is for fucking sure not a clean pristine place and I certainly don't believe anything is fresh anymore. So why do we uphold this way of life?

I've come to the conclusion that i enjoy the decay of society. I really enjoy exploring places that have been abandoned but not demolished, empty and forgotten. These places are far too often overlooked and destroyed, causing pieces of history, no matter how little of importance it may be, to be destroyed. It might be a thirst for knowledge, but i could spend hours exploring places long forgotten by the public, just to see what's there. For all I know all that could be left is furniture and broken machinery, but the overall vibe of a place can make every effort made totally worth it.

Oh and I started working on my first larger piece. I'm stoked to see how I do.
And you should be too.
Peace

Trees

So I seem to have trees on the mind...
The last couple drawings I've done have been tree-influence, one of which I posted yesterday.
And to anyone who actually reads this I'm not talking about marijuana, but the wood-bearing beings of the Earth.
I don't know why trees have been on my mind. Maybe cause I spend my days cutting grass around trees, or maybe this is just where my mind's at right now...
Whatever it is I kinda like it, and I'll be sure to post the evil tree man I'm working on when its done.
